Do you know the feeling?
You’re at an event, the usual introduction round begins.
Intercultural change management.
Financial advisory.
Plastic surgery.
Criminal profiling.
Naturopathy.
And me:
Circular economy.
Everyone else got asked about the details of their job.
I got asked what my topic even is, first.
It made me think.
I love going deep. Give me reverse logistics, R-strategies, business-case modelling, and I’m happy for hours.
But that room reminded me of something easy to forget when you live inside a subject:
Not everyone starts where you are.
And that’s not a gap to be impatient about — it’s where the most useful conversations begin.
So let me take a step back and simply ask.
If you’re completely new to circular economy — what would you actually like to understand about it?
What’s the question you’ve never quite had answered?
And if you’re already in it — which part would you want to go deeper on?
I’d genuinely like to know.
Because the best way to make a topic matter to more people is to start from what they want to understand — not from what I find fascinating.
